Darwin Day ....

I have a class on the Galapagos that I go to on Mondays and I recently found out that this Monday is Darwin Day! February 12 is the 198th anniversary of Charles Darwin's Birthday. Anyways I thought this was a wonderful excuse to bring a cake to class and, after emailed permission from the professor, I ordered a "Darwin Day" cake from the local grocery store.

My question to you all is wondering if anyone has any clever suggestions as to other snacks to bring? I have a limited budget (and can only shop in the nearby stores) but I thought I would throw it out there and see if anyone could think of a snack that can have some natural selection, Galapagos, or Darwin reference tied to it.

Any thoughts?

Turtles (As in the peacan carmel things with chocolate)
Gummi animals.. turtles, sharks etc.
Goldfish... if nothing else because they make me think of the Darwin fish bumperstickers.

Hmm.. not sure of anything else. Unless you could find something to do with cactuses or shorebirds.

hehehe, this is interesting. I'm having my BSA Eagle Ceremony on Darwin's birthday. more than coincidence, eh?

btw, bring gummi worms. then you can call them grub and say they're a finch's primary food source. ingenious, no?
